I'm excited to announce that I'll be performing with Silas Lowe and the Liabilities at two festivals in October. I've never been to either and I'm looking forward to checking them out!

The Austin String Band Festival is right in my own backyard down in Driftwood, TX at Camp Ben McCullough, about 20 minutes from South Austin and right across the street from the Salt Lick! Many great local performers are on the bill at this weekend-long event (Oct 17-19), including two of the Liabilities' other projects: Los Jankies and JWW and the Prospectors.

One week later, I'll be heading out to Lafayette, LA to Blackpot, a festival that's been on my radar since I first heard about it from friends of mine a few years ago. There's a growing Austin contingent attending every year I'm really glad to finally be making the trip out there. There are a bunch of fantastic bands, the campsite jamming scene is supposed to be epic, and there's a cook-off! Hopefully I'll get a taste!
