Target level: Intermediate, but advanced and beginning fiddlers and players of other bowed string instruments will leave with new ideas, information, and practice tips.

This workshop will focus on getting great tone out of your fiddle and exploring the different types of musical sounds you can make. We’ll also zero in on rhythm in both your left and right hands and practice techniques to develop rhythmic playing. Time permitting, we’ll also discuss harmonic concepts on the fiddle.

Please bring your questions about fiddling — there will be time for Q&A toward the end of the workshop. Recordings, sheet music, and notes will be posted online after the workshop.
